Aloix

A species of fox-like bipeds with thick fur coats and three tails; one large and two smaller as counterbalances. They demonstrate a proclivity for a form of magic that they call xisa; using blood, they can perform what can only be described as witchcraft. Their first-contact with humanity was a ship known as the Sacrificial Dance and its AI pilot, Melody-3.

Xisa

A form of blood magic with which they can do things best described as witchcraft. Celestine used it to create a spear of blood to destroy a corvette. She also demonstrated its healing abilities; it evidently uses some melange of the mental image of the subject and the mental image that the caster has of the subject to reconstruct damage.
